More Learning

…and Productivity!

Hello!

I appreciate everyone’s patience as I continue to find the structure for my blog as well as find right feel for my notes.

On that note, I have been continuing on my journey through the HTB Linux Fundamentals course by completing the workflow portion of the module. I took the extra time to do extra practice exercises including supplementing with the THM Regular Expressions Room, reading through RexEgg for Regex info, and experimenting with regular expressions on regex101.

I have also just about finished the THM Pre-Security Path in an effort to actively review some fundamentals and get back in touch with navigating Linux. I also supplement my HTB Academy learning with THM rooms and vice verse, as needed. I find that using both platforms, rather than just one, is working very well for me. I will likely elaborate on that later, as I have noticed most people talk about one platform VS the other, rather than using them in a complimentary manner.

I am tweaking my roadmap a little bit for now and will update you all when it is a little more sound.

In other news I used BarRaider’s Windows Mover and Resizer plugin for the Elgato Stream Deck XL.

My 20 Action Multi Action: “CyberMode”

This automagically pulls up chrome/brave windows/tabs of my email,365(oneNote), learning platforms (HTB/TCM/PSA/etc), my AI, and Discord. I also monitor my computer through hwInfo64 which is then integrated into my stream deck through exensions’s HWiNFO plugin. I enjoy the convenient display of my pc vitals, proving just another way for the stream deck to be useful to a techie. You can build your own sort of device for cheaper, but I enjoy it for the streaming side of things, as well. It is just very intuitive and I am sure I will figure out more uses for it in the future!

I feel making my setup a 1 button action will allow me to study so much more since there won’t be any time to get distracted during the setup phase.

My apologies for not including much technical in this post, I do want to lean more on explaining more on this blog and using a portion of my cyber notes for it. I do want to be able to showcase my know-how. I am still figuring it all out as I adjust my note-taking game and blogging game.

If you are following my blog then you may be excited to hear I have a nice little tech-focused discord server set up and ready to go, I just need to make some security changes before creating the perma-invite.

STAY TUNED
